Not exactly out of the Queens Bridge area, newly formed duo Muff Deep consists of Tartelet label manager Emil Margetli and renowned producer Mathias Mesteño. Through a large bunch of shared friends and a heartfelt passion for music, it was only natural for Emil and Mathias to sit down and get gritty at some point. A string of successful parties in Copenhagen and many a spellbinding back-to-back session honed the two friends deep, mutual understanding of each others rhythmic vision and this is obvious in their jacking studio collaboration. Mathias’ seasoned studio skills and Emil’s novel approach creates a raw and pure house sound, making the music of Muff Deep both vigorous and timeless.

Revolving sub-basses and massive organs entrances the sweaty dancers when Enter The Muff spins on the platter. Building onwards ‘till the very last second, dancing 808 claps and snare rushes thunder against the rhythmic background – Enter The Muff is Tartelet Funk in its purest incarnation. These grooves are Chicago, New York and Copenhagen shuffled and shaken into one elegant fantasy ride beyond the jerking dance floor, straight from the loving hands of our talented veteran newcomers. It’s an A-side with the word “builder” written all over it.

We dive much deeper into the inner sphere of our minds on this journey. Summer heat and the rainbow colored sky at dawn break flows from the speakers while your body glides to the hazy memories of decadent parties. This track embraces everything that’s summer from Balearic atmospherics, over your favourite childhood sunset, to Italo and straight-up disco.
